Sun & Sand in Tecumseh

Enjoy the beautiful days of summer at the Sun & Sand Festival in Downtown Tecumseh. Five oversized sand sculptures created by Ice Creation of Napoleon Ohio will adorn the downtown area. This will be a fun and interesting process as spectators can watch them create larger than life works of art from sand on Friday. SCAVENGER HUNT: Follow the clues on the scavenger hunt map to find hidden treasures throughout the businesses. Once you have completed the clue sheet turn it in for a chance to win a gift card packet from the local merchants. Sheets will be available closer to the event on this page, the Downtown Tecumseh facebook page and at the participating merchants. Friday night there will be a street party downtown with live entertainment, food trucks and family friendly games. A great way to spend an evening in the community. Pet Parade is returning this year! Dress your pet following the "Under the Sea" theme and join the parade down Chicago Blvd. starting at 10am. Line up will be at the corner of Chicago Blvd and Pearl St. The parade will head east on the south side of Chicago Blvd to Ottawa St and the then turn around and return to Pearl St on the north side of Chicago Blvd. Click the link to register your pet to be included in the Pet Parade. https://tecumseh.rja.revize.com/forms/11670 On Saturday a 3v3 basketball tournament will take place on Ottawa St. from 10am to 5pm. Come cheer on your favorite team. The Tecumseh Farmers Market at The Market on Evans - Will be open Saturday with fresh local produce, breads and pastries, handmade items, antiques and vintage items for you to purchase from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
